    <content type="html">A friend sent me a copy of &lt;i&gt;A Companion To Wolves&lt;/i&gt;. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I gave it a shot tonight. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The first scene is powerful. The wolf scent-names (their own names) are highly creative and plausible.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But ... I'm not fond of dogs. I found the world she created coarse and unpleasant. Visiting this world was a bit like those beer parties on the beach when I was in high school: at some point I realized, "I'm not enjoying this," and walked away. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Perhaps if someone wrote &lt;i&gt;A Companion To Cats&lt;/i&gt;....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;img src="https://www.dreamwidth.org/tools/commentcount?user=icarus&amp;ditemid=958334" width="30" height="12" alt="comment count unavailable" style="vertical-align: middle;"/&gt; comments</content>
