Gleargh! Reporting -
All right, one of the classes I'm taking this term is journalism. I want some practical experience writing for a newspaper, so I'm working for the school newspaper this term.
The school ran a heavy-hitting article last term about the lack of reporting procedures for sex offenders who were attending classes. Apparently, teachers were supposed to be informed of sex offenders in their classes, but there were no procedures to report it. So kids were going to off-site study groups (some of them in Running Start programs, age 16 etc.) with registered sex offenders.
Eeep.
This is a good article. It did good things.
It also scared the shit out of the staff and faculty of the school.
So now I can't even get a few simple statistics for a benign
article on On-Line classes. I want to shoot that reporter.

I hate journalism. I already do, and I've only been doing it a week.

I have found it good discipline (even though I do work in PR).
Recently read journalists' Code of Practice and pissed myself laughing.
I think you'll find it interesting in the long run. Look at it from an anthropological point of view ;)
