Re-evaluating LJ time.

I'm not sure yet how I'm going to handle this, but I'm working on ways to focus more on writing and RL, and spend less time on Livejournal personal posts.

For the time being I'm going to be locking everything. I might do my first ever f-list trim, I'm not sure, that may be too much of a hassle. But I'm setting aside the habit of posting about every inky-dink personal crisis ("eeek, bad hair day!" etc.) in LJ. That's one way I end up not writing -- and not doing a lot of things, frankly.

I find that just not opening the thing does the trick somedays. Or sitting out the urge to post until the crisis is gone and then everything seems kinda silly to post about. Livejournal sucks life into it. Hmm. Perhaps that is why it is 'live'. Or not.

I think this is a wise move. I try not to post about personal life exactly for the same reason (it takes a lot of time that I rather spend writing).
