I actually recall the skating fairies from Fantasia better. I cry every time I hear Tchaikovsky, it matters not what piece. Imagine my embarrassment when sitting in the theater at the re-release of Fantasia in '77 and crying. Yeah.
I love the juxtaposition between Rodney's childhood and his policy on not attending competitions, it seems to make sense in a Rodney-esque way.
And yes, I recall that Yong Suk's injury was one of the reasons that John thought he might have a shot, so it's quite ominous that he's *there*, and not injured looking.... very suspenseful!
