LJ just ate my comment, drat it. I'm home sick today, and was so excited to see that there's new Out of Bounds. This is lovely and hopeful (the Colorado part), and Jiri's story just overlays the hope, as well as the doom. 1986 is actually the perfect recast timing, because *he* thinks it's his last jump forever, competitively, and *we* know that the Cold War is almost over, and that they won't be able to tell him what to do forever.
