Niffled!

I was Niffled! Here!

Alas, Webba gives away who Severus is meeting. Takes a lot of the fun out of it. Oh well. Maybe I'll ask her if she can take that bit out.

I'm called a prolific author! Why does that please me so much?

Okay. Thanks to Isis [livejournal.com profile] isiscolo both 'Scarred' and Part I of 'Reunion' are ready. I've done my Dusk to Dawn Betas. One more proof on 'Unforeseen Circumstances' and we'll be done. Everyone should read Isis' 'Turnabout is Foreplay.' Ha. Isis doesn't need a Beta reader, she needs an audience, and I'm happy to be one.

Ron/Draco are now in the tub: bubblebath and strawberries! The question of the night, does Draco's mascara run? Tentative title... 'Sex, Drugs and Death Eater Rock.' Seems to capture its ballsy irreverence.

Fred Cole read (his) Beg Me For It (written at his request). He's disappointed at my straight!Ron, but loves sexkitten!Draco. Wait'll he reads Death Eater Rock... he'll hate me (hee-hee). But he's gonna love 'Scarred.'

I went over and read it, and asked her to change it. She goes through it blow by blow, and totally gives away the surprises.
And babycakes, I thought you were a girl ...

I PM'd Webba. To tell the truth, the place where she read it the Key Words have 'Terry Boot' in them, and the pairing was listed as Severus Snape/Terry Boot. I've uploaded a new copy of the story with OCC instead of 'Terry Boot' and I'm going back to that Snape listing to remove the pairing.

I am! But it's just amazing how many people assume I'm not. I kind of like it, because I have some gay fans who relate to my stuff (Jeff and Fred come to mind). It's a compliment to my writing. Jeff was kinda disappointed when I emailed him, and the name on my email was definitely not a guy. Moira McDuff automatically assumed I was a guy, likewise Ghostwriter. My Beta CLS, after reading chapters and chapters of 'Primer' and my reams of complaints of feminising characters... finally asked... okay, I give up. Are you a girl or a guy?

Partially it's the name I think. I didn't exactly call myself 'AmberRoseDraco'sGirl.'

I find it so interesting that people can't tell, that I've decided to clarify if asked, but otherwise to just watch the assumptions. With growing curiosity. Is there a pattern? Depending on which stories people read?

Heh heh, I was kidding ... I assumed that you were a girl, I just assume that 99% of people who write slash are ... but you get called 'he' in the Niffle post, did you notice?

I didn't, my boyfriend did!
