Percy Ficathon

Upside Down Percy/Harry PG-13

I already told [livejournal.com profile] honeycakehorse that I couldn't put this down. Percy's so vivid and his situation so real, I just ached along with him and at the same time respected his courage and determination... and wanted to give him a glass of warm milk and cookies. As you can probably guess based on what I recommend, I prefer NC-17 stories. But this really didn't need it. This is a thoughtful, well-paced story. You can bask in the glow afterwards.

while we're on the topic of Percythons, my fic is up as well:

Third Party Loyalties (http://www.livejournal.com/community/weasleyworship/20362.html)

It's Percy/Draco, for [livejournal.com profile] thetreacletart. It ended up being like 10,000 words, but *shrugs* First I couldn't get Percy to talk, then he wouldn't shut up.

thanks again for organizing this, you're wonderful.

Oh no, thank you. This is the greatest. Not only are there 71 Percy stories in the works, but the quality has been so high. I'm really impressed. This is a real contribution to the Percy World.

I'm overwhelmed at the talent of the Percy Ficathon writers. This was hysterical! And then moving without being saccharine. Plus the magic, oh the magic. Fabulous work.

*basks in glow* Isn't it beautiful. I loved how real it was to me.

That's what it was: it was a real. The way Percy proudly refused Harry's offer, the way the open-ness seemed unnatural and uncomfortable to him. The way his conservatism was something that was him -- any more and I'll be into spoilers. I really liked this.
