Okay, right now I feel like frosting that should be spread smoothly over warm cake. wildernessguru is sacked out in the other room, happy, if one is happy in a deep satiated sleep.

The other day I posted about the tough time I'd had entering the Stargate fandom... one season behind, stepping into the crossfire of old battles I don't understand...

A number of Stargate fanfic writers and fans stopped by to say hello and welcome and sorry you've had a rough time. Wow. Thank you, kres, danvers, mooja, darththalia, thegrrrl2002, brighidestone, and everyone who patted me on the head and said there, there, it's all right. *snuggles Stargate fandom*

Just FYI, that's darththalia with two "th"s. Everyone gets it wrong.

I'm glad I could commisserate on the SG list front, though. I know HP has a reputation for being wanky, but I think SG is ten times worse.

Since you seem to know the SG, do you know of any challenges, FQF, etc on lj? Like Icarus, my main fandom is HP, and we seem to do challenges, and ficathons nonstop, but I could find nothing in SG.

No, sorry. I haven't been very active in SG for at least two years; I just read from archives when someone recs something. I've heard that SG has started to migrate to LJ, but I wouldn't know where to start looking.

I think in terms of wanks HP has more variety, but SG-1 has HP has it beat for sheer intensity.

Mine should be finished in a few days. I watched every single episode before started writing, and strangely it coincided with a lot of people on my flist getting into Atlangis and SG1. So I'm hoping for lots of new good fics from people I trust (so when is yours going to be ready? No pressure LOL)
