A Post that has NOTHING to do with OotP

Yes, folks, here's a post that has nothing whatsoever to do with OotP. There are no spoilers for OotP. No theories. No pants-wetting squeals desperate for the book. No party news. No discussions of outfits people are wearing to... er... parties. There is no gloating or announcements that you know this or that. There is no comforting, no wine recommendations, no lists of chapter names, no links to interviews with JKR.

Nothing. NO-THING to do with OotP.

So.

Er.

How 'bout them Blue Jays, eh? What was the final score anyhow?

I'm told it shipped, but I'm not sure if I'll get it tomorrow or Monday morning. It's being set to a Mail Boxes Etc.-type place. Which I am going to stake out. I hate being a fan, I hate it, I hate it...

6 - 1. I think. Unless 11 Jays-crazed friends are wrong or I'm thinking of the wrong game.

There's a story behind this.

I'm from Detroit (originally). My dad's in Toronto.

In 1984 (this reveals my age), the Detroit Tigers and the Toronto Blue Jays were neck and neck for the World Series, trading 1st and 2nd place on a daily basis. (The Baltimore Orioles were in there, too.) The Tigers had *meh* good pitching, but a powerhouse hitting line-up. They'd be getting killed... and then in the 7th inning... GRAND SLAM HOME RUN!!!

So whenever the Tigers pulled another game out fo the toilet, my brother would call Dad and say:

"How 'bout them Blue Jays?"

LOL!
