MWPP Gen story - looking for archives, groups, communities

Hullo there! A friend of mine (the wonderful co-author of 'Call of the Wild') has agreed to let me pimp her latest fic, Stag Night, which can also be found on Fiction Alley, Stag Night.

I'm looking for MWPP-friendly (and James-friendly, Sirius-friendly, Remus-friendly, heck, even Peter-friendly) archives, groups and LJ communities. [livejournal.com profile] blackfall, you just hosted a Remus chat, would you happen to know where I should look?

The story is rich and subtle, beautifully characterised, and builds slowly. Set before James and Lily's wedding, the marauders, who have been growing somewhat apart since their school days, get together for James' big night. Peter isn't the only one who's keeping secrets...

EDITED: to add link, and move topic forward a day. CLS is just adding the finishing touches. This work is nearly complete.

...and we can find it where?

:)

I've edited to add the links. She's just finishing up the last chapters now. It can be found at her own site - http://tadmuck.home.mindspring.com/FFhome.htm and at Schnoogle, www.schnoogle.com/authorLinks/CLS.

Your icon *sniff* hurts...

Werewolf Registry. I don't know of too many other archives other than FA, WWR and SQ. Just finished beta-editing the entire run.

I second the nomination. Most of the other lists and archives are highly specialized - over-specialized if you ask me - and aren't friendly to gen. It's all slash this, het that. Pfft.

Luck to you and the friend.

WWR? What is that? And where can I find the Werewolf Registry (I know I've seen it before...)

Believe it or not, I've found nearly a dozen applicable Yahoo Groups, including one MWPP slash group that's gen-friendly. *eyebrows raise* Would you like the list? If a stories good, often the list will be fine if it's borderline to their mission. for example, the sweet people at the harry_and_ron Yahoo group were fine with my posting 'Primer to the Dark Arts' there, even though Harry/Ron went on for only half the story.

WWR is the Werewolf Registry

My works are all non canon character based, so I'm stuck with my own site and FA. *shrug*

I'm looking forward to seeing how the advertising goes. So is CLS, of course!

... and www.skyehawke.com, an invitation-only site. What? You don't have a skyehawke account? Allow me to invite you. What do you want your user name and password to be? High quality stuff there, really. Tending towards the dark I've noticed.

The way skyehawke.com was introduced to me was an almost insult; sort of, "We have an invitation-only site and only the best are invited." (And, by the way, you're not.) So, I've ignored it.

Good grief, that wasn't Tien Ru, was it? How awful.

Truth is, it isn't an invitation-only site, technically. So that note was wrong.

Once someone has an account there, they can invite as many others as they want. It's not centrally controlled, and quality is maintained at the discretion of the members, as a kind of code of honour. The fact that you weren't on it was simply due to the fact you didn't know someone who was, nothing more than that. And there's a thread in their forums where someone who doesn't know any members can ask for an account, giving an example of their stories.

No one invited me either, frankly. I asked.

Fuck the elitist attitude whoever-that-was showed. That really pisses me off. I've set up a skyehawke account for you, just to give whoeverthatwas the finger. I've emailed you the information. You don't have to use the account if you don't want, it's just there to make the point.

*snarls at the cur who treated you poorly*
