They were all so much fun; started my day off with a smile, which is always of the good; thank you!

Oh hey, glad you liked them. I found these ficlets when I was f-locking my old posts and realized I'd never uploaded them to my website.

Can't you picture Jack as the clean-cut Eagle Scout, doing exactly what his parents and authorities like -- until he snaps?

I can *so* see that, too.

I can also sort of see him continuing to do all of that on the surface, and just going wild in an extremely... *covert* way.

(It reminds me of the sequence in Anais's "Dr. Jackson's Diary" where everybody gets the inevitable age-regression disease, and Daniel for example goes back through his Rebellious Teen Punk Rock phase. And since everybody started out at different ages, they hit different regressed ages at different times, so Daniel always winds up younger than Jack and thus having less perspective on what he's observing. "Eventually I asked [Hammond] how it had been dealing with the teenage nightmare that Jack must have been. I was surprised beyond all belief when he said that Jack had been the politest child, the most considerate teenager and the best behaved of all of us." That always stuck in my head. As do many random bits from the Diary, come to think of it. *will not sit down and reread entire chapter... grrr... *)

I had that in mind when I wrote the little ficlet. The next line was Daniel saying, surprised, "When did he turn into Jack?"

"Thursday."
