Uh, wow. That was a frenzy. Did the site go down for everyone in those last five minutes?

I'm not even sure I got my final bid in.

Anyhow, once Sweet Charity is up again, we were very close to raising $14,000 at ten minutes to the hour.

I hear from someone involved that because the site crashed so hard for everyone, bidding will be open again for an hour tomorrow.

... Or something. I'm not sure how we're going to find out! I'm crossing my fingers that they figure out how to keep it from, you know, crashing AGAIN...

Yeah, this is my question! I assume that when the site goes up again, they'll say. But yes, I also think there's an LJ comm. I think I saw it listed right before the crash...

It looks like my bid was still in place when the site went down, so... I'm glad there's a chance for us to crack $14,000 US but -- darn. Now I'm going to have to fight for my bid. :D

At the main page there's actually a note:

We have now empirically proven exactly how much win it takes to kill the server. You guys are so freaking cool. So, we were 5 minutes off the end of auction and what we're going to figure out now is how we want to play it.

So yep, it looks like the server crashed for everyone! :D
