wildernessguru's birthday. I decided to go with the Creative Zen, but then they didn't stock it at the store -- and the iPod Nano was on sale.
The Nano wins, then. It was prettier too, so I figuredwildernessguru would like that.
He was skeptical at first, but said today, "This is the best present you've ever given me."
He was stuck with incredibly dull firewatch on his birthday so I gave it to him early -- and he said he rocked out all day. (Most amusing song choice: "The Roof Is On Fire" by the Bloodhound Gang, for a man doing firewatch -- "we don't want no water let the mother fucker burn!")
He looked suspicious, suggesting I really got it for myself. I told him, "In a way, yes. I have all this music and haven't had any way to share it with you. Until now." For some reason the young guys at his work were surprised and impressed with my music choices. Huh.
Great job, guys, both for the info on the Nano and for years of music suggestions an downloads. It was a very happy birthday.
P.S. He's not going to be able to tell the guys about his other present. Oh no. *grins*
