Giant Map of Slashers.

You've all seen and added yourselves (if you want) to minotaurs's Giant Map of Slashers, right?

I mean, I didn't put my address in there, but my general city? Sure. I know there are more slashers in Seattle, n'est pas?

ETA: The how-to is not very intuitive.

1) You log into gmail (or at least that's how I did it) or create a gmail account.
2) Click on the link I gave there to open the map.
3) Click the "Edit" button off the right above the row of names of people who've added themselves to the map.
4) Then right click on the map. It will give you the option of adding a placement.
5) Zoom in to your city and click "add placement."

Current efforts: working on papers. I'll have to switch from my hardest paper to the easier one. I'm getting bogged down on the painfully difficult one.

I'm near Braunschweig right now, so not all that far, globally speaking. *bounces* There's a whole cluster of slashers in the Ruhrpott, too, though it seems they all like to stay more private than I do. There are a lot more Germans in fandom than on that map, in any case. *bounces*

Heh, okay, good to know. And yeah, I think there have to be more slashers/fans in Germany than the map shows... I have a friend here who's fannish, but she's not really in fandom, so to speak, so I'm always on the lookout for other geeks :)

I'm studying European Culture for a Masters Degree. I'm supposed to be working on my MA thesis, but I'm not having a lot of luck with it, so far. We'll see how it goes. Anyway, European culture basically means a lot of history, a lot of cultural theory, some sociology and anthropology. I'm a squishy scientist of the sort Rodney would make fun of... ;) And then I'd have to show him how I can do math, I just don't like it much, which is why I gave up on engineering.

Oh, I'm not German, btw. My German language skills are improving, but I haven't spent enough time working on it. I'm from Iceland, originally :)

I thought lizardspots was in London, and the_sea_to is outside of London. Neither are likely to put their names on the map, though. Both are HP fans, and Lizard is getting into Merlin.

There are, but the map isn't working correctly. It's not designed to show so many flags, so it's only showing some of them at a time.
