Keep up the good work.

School holidays have finally begun (shortened somewhat by the fascinating events of late). Next quarter in... six days.

WG informed me yesterday that his limp is getting better. The pain is definitely going down.

Whatever you guys are doing, keep it up, it's working.

He's scheduled to go in for oral surgery next Tuesday (the absessed tooth is related to a bridge he had put in after his teeth got smashed in a car accident years ago -- long story). It would be great if he could be back at work by April 6th. His boss called yesterday. The boats are starting to pile up. WG's willing to postpone that appointment if he has to.

Next on the agenda: writing Out Of Bounds. *g*

WG is now chivvying me out the door to see the Watchmen.

Well, apparently WG is irreplaceable and deserves a raise.

Good wishes to you all.

I certainly hope that's true. :D

Thank you.

Really glad to hear WG's foot is getting better. I'm doing some really deep meditations and some other stuff over this next week, (similar to what I did this past weekend), and I'm adding in some things to keep sending healing for WG and general well-being for you as well as general good things for both of you. I'll keep on at this end. After all if it doesn't help it can't hurt!

I'll be interested to hear what you both think about Watchmen.

I saw your post and assumed, yes, thank you. Whatever you're doing, you must be doing it pretty well.

We enjoyed Watchmen. But after reading some reviews we saw a clear pattern: people who'd read the novel loved it, and people who hadn't died of boredom. So we both read (I re-read) the graphic novel first. So read the graphic novel first if you haven't already. Amazon.com has it for $12.

Nite Owl reminds me of WG so much. The glasses, the gentleness, the innocent boyish appeal. The same quiet, private nature, along with the tendency to not say how he feels until he's pissed, but expressing himself in deeply coded passive-aggressive action. And only truly vibrantly alive when he's "doing his thing" (in WG's case, backpacking). If you want to meet WG, you can watch him on film. Just substitute Nite Owl's bird-obsession for WG's military technical specifications.

Yes, I loved it.

And I think Rorschach is more of a genius (a tactical genius) than Ozimandias.

You know who could use your help and meditations right now? Sushi, from the Harry Potter fandom (http://wikdsushi.livejournal.com/947640.html"). She has numerous illnesses (lupus, she's on chemo, the list is so long I can't track it) and her husband just kicked her out a month ago because he's tired of her being sick all the time. You heard that right. He didn't leave. He kicked her out.

I'm in that numb, quietly shocked state I reach when someone has gone so far below the level of basic human decency I can't believe it.

That really is absolutely horrible. It's always awful to hear that someone can be that callous. And the fact that he kicked her out because he can't deal, just breath stealing!

I certainly will add her in to the work I'm doing as of this evening.

I told WG you were dedicating those meditations and he asked me to say thank you.

More than welcome. X
