Atlantis Big Bang: busted my ass today.

Got problems worked out of my outline. It's now 36 scenes. I may be able to combine some of those.

10204 / 40000 words. 26% done!

Eight out of 36 scenes written. Which leaves me with 28 to go. One of those scenes is the big climax at the end of the story, so I'm feeling pretty good about that.

*splutter laugh* You wanna see my shiny new outline, now with less lameness?

I finish the 24-hour time period (we can't call this a day because it included more time than most of my days) with nine scenes written and --

Technically. Now most of these were scenes that were clearly fleshed out in the outline, not the hard stuff. And there's a careless slapdash quality to the writing. But a deadline once utterly out of reach is now possible, or seemingly so.

Yes, sure, I'd love to see the outline. I'm glad it's going well since I urged you to sign on for this. Besides, I genuinely like the outline and the meta commentary on McCaffrey's universe the story promises.
