This is extremely difficult to choose, because [livejournal.com profile] cursescar is prolific, varied, and an excellent writer. Okay, once again, vote for your favourite Aspen story, tell us why, and if you want to slam one story over another, put on your boxing gloves and go to [livejournal.com profile] hpbnfdm_lives. Write-in votes are accepted, and with Aspen I expect a lot of them.

Confection Carnage
Daisychain!Draco
If That Mockingbird Won't Sing

And the write-ins have begun! *knew this would happen*
You're Sixteen, (You're Beautiful, And You're Mine)
Bittersweet
Just A Boy
Quicksilver
Into The Fire
Close Kept

ETA: Even more write-ins. *Icarus gets out the abacus.* This is fun!

You can still vote, but the results are in!

Other votes -
Maya, Amanuensis, Rushlight, Sushi, Anna, Cybele, and Cassandra Claire.

You're trying to make me choose between Mockingbird and Daisychain!Draco. Seriously?

Ahem. Although, of course, I've never, ever, ever, ever, ever read them.

Okay, my vote goes to Daisychain!Draco. Because oooooooooooooh.

Oh man, has to be Daisychain!Draco. Because it is so, so wrong yet so so good. One of my favourite PWPs.

Mockingbird. GAh. I remember reading that story the first time and feeling so dirty... in both a good and a bad way. Then I got to the end and realised that I'm not a pervert *cough* and then read it again and again and..

heh.

GAWD I love that fic. Brilliant (the peppermint sucking goes down as one of THE most erotic scenes EVER.)

(sorry, i blew up)

I have to cast my vote for Daisychain... Something about the images gets me every time.

Confection Carnage, without a doubt. One of the most beautiful H/R stories out there, and just a beautiful piece.

Cursecar? ;) You misspelled their username.

Mockingbird definitely. Because I hated myself every second I was reading it for liking it so much, but yet couldn't stop. So I guess that's a powerful emotion to be eliciting from reading a fic.

Well, the roleplaying is def. where it's at for me, so that lets out the nevertheless delicious Confection Carnage.

Under pressure, I say Mockingbird, 'cause oh the "discipline me, professor," but I think I'll go read them both 5 or 6 million more times to be sure. *grin*

I have work to do, here people, I can't be sitting around reading smut. *looks longingly towards links folder*

Ack. Count me as another person torn between Daisychain and Mockingbird.

I think I liked Mockingbird just a bit better, though. I have a thing for school uniforms; not so much of one for boys in dresses. Mockingbird it is.

Agree with the other voters that it's infinitely difficult to choose--although Confection Carnage isn't one of my favorites, I definitely love the other two--but I'd say Mockingbird for the school scenario. And the ending. But the description in both is beyond fabulous. :)

Er. Rareslash isn't opening for me right now. (Dial up problems.)

Do you mean Bittersweet (http://papermoon.velveteen.net/bittersweet.html)? The one in the Prefect's bath?

Oh jeez. This is just cruel. Mockingbird is brilliantly played out and characterized, and Daisychain!Draco is in a league of its own, so I am going to have to place my vote on Confection Carnage, just because it is such an...I dunno, experience to read. And I am such a sucker for good H/R. *tips hat to Icarus*

Few authors have the courage to write as well as this 'Aspen' does. But I hear she is a total whack job in real life. She's actually a cloistered catholic nun somewhere in provincial France. Eats babies and lures unwary married men into her forbidden chambers. It's unbelievable who they'll sell computers to these days.

I vote for Daisychain!Draco. It's naughty and smutty and wonderful. ^_^

Though Bittersweet is lovely as well. And Confection Carnage is one of the only Harry/Ron stories that I'll read. And Mockingbird really made me squirm........GAH! I can't pick just one Aspen fic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What are you doing to me!?!

Oh lord. A write in, because it was one of the first Sirius/Harry fics I ever read over at the PSA and it was so damn hot and wrong that my intelligence flew out the window for a week.

"You're Sixteen(You're beautiful, and You're mine)". Yes...because Sirius should not be a pedophile and yet he is and DAMN good at it.

Daisychain, because it was one of the first H/D fics in fandom, as far as I know, and it set a standard for kink that has STILL NOT BEEN MATCHED.

Any history of Harry Potter slash will have to have Daisychain in its first paragraph, no question.

(But all of Aspen's stories, even the ones she won't show anyone, deserve huge gold stars. She is incredibly talented and one of the very very very best writers around. <3333333333333333333)

OK, I'm new to your journal (found my way here through your website), but my vote has got to go to Mockingbird. In my opinion, any story that finalised for a HP Slash award has got to be good! Plus, even though I've read it lots of times, it's always amazingly good.
