I'm learning some things here. I honestly thought I was in the minority for loving Flame And Shadow, so it's a real surprise to find it ran such a close second behind Underwater Light. I've also learned of the existence of the Badgering series, which I must now read. *grins.*

The authors love this even more. It's telling them avenues they've pursued that have worked (and they maybe should continue to explore, eh?). Sometimes you get a lot of reviews for a story because it was rec'd a lot, but you can't tell how they stack up against each other.

I would have never guessed In Academia would run such a close second to Civil War that one vote almost tipped the balance -- but it was too late.
