Percy Ficathon

I'm getting really excited about the Percy Ficathon. Some really good story ideas are bouncing around. Mine is starting to come together. It's terribly implausible, but sounds like fun. :D

Remember Ficathon fans, we have five more weeks! You can post anytime between now and then, just be sure wherever you post the story you say in the summary or A/N that it was written for the Percy Ficathon. On April 30th and May 1st I'll put up a master list!

I suppose it would be bad form to ask who was stuck writing mine, wouldn't it? ::shrugs:: A few harmless prods (witharedhotpoker) never hurt anyone . . . And I didn't mean to depress you with Constants. I just thought: 'Hey, Icarus and Ron/Draco go together like Marmite and Spam. She'll want to read it for the three paragraphs of smut!' :p Sorry for failing to cheer you up. You may beat me (withawetnoodle) if it helps!

Are you kidding? I loved it. It was beautiful. (Painful, but beautiful.) The darkness has been flowing in the fanfic community since OotP. You should point it out to switchknife.

And I really appreciated your walking up to me and just handing me a story. You're damned right I love Ron/Draco, and I've been wanting to read but feeling rather lazy (re: tired).

Let's just say that the person who got your challenge richly deserved it (bwa-ha-ha). They challenged somebody with something far more difficult than yours.

Hmmn. Well, my challenge was pretty cut and dry: Lucius/Percy and any way I can get it. I can't imagine anything much more challenging than what I got. That had me wibbling for days before I finally spat out ID in an hour of really fast typing/revising. Then - as I've said before - I'm quite the Percy, so I'm easily wibbled by being challenged to write something as tame as incest.

And about Constants, I've just gotten reviews saying that it made people want to cry and all that rubbish. Looking back, it probably wasn't the best suggestion for someone already feeling bleh. But I'm glad that you enjoyed it anyway. And I have noticed the influx of dark fiction since OotP. No one else may have liked the 5th book, but I loved it! It fleshed out all the ideas and preconceptions I already had about pureblooded society, and showed Harry's true form to angsty, melodramatic, teenaged perfection ::throws confetti and waits for him to be the next Dark Lord:: So there was Dumbledore's lame confession and Snape's cliched childhood, but the rest was still good, I think.

Hmmn. Perhaps I will wave that under Switchknife's nose. She liked Idyllic Days. Oh, the slashy waters, how I love thee . . . so many more intelligent people and thought-provoking criticism than in het. Oops, did I say that out loud? :p

Actually, there were two people who gave identical impossible challenges hoping that I would match them up with each other. I've nick-named those two Gred-N-Forge and did a McGonagall: no nonesense, I gave their challenges to other people, difficult though they were.

Since my Ron Ficathon piece was horribly difficult I feel I've done my penance in advance. What was your challenge? Oh yes -

Percy/Fleur

Humour is good; I abhor fluff; nothing too terribly kinky, if you please; either Percy or the other character being Evil always makes me happy."

Let's hope they pick Percy/Lucius out of the list. Strangely, there were rather few Percy/Lucius requests in the group.
