Wilderness Guru speaks
Apr. 11th, 2003 02:03 amI couldn't decide which project to work on next: Brodie's Harry/Snape 'Cursed Artefacts for Sale,' the next chapter of the Torvald/Snape 'Your Friendly Neighborhood Death Eater,' the next chapter in the Ron/Draco Reunion series (Name Dropping), Ron's 'First Signs of Magic,' or Rushlight's stories, or 'Auror Academy.'
So the Guru speaks, and he says "I like Snape. Do 'Cursed Artefacts.' "
Okay.

I also love your Ron/Draco :-D. Have finished the first read through and notations - will now spend time typing up my thoughts and wend them your way.
It's a terrific story, Icarus. I got so many odd looks today as I sat in a food hall at lunchtime, reading and marking. Might have been the giggles and excited stamping of feet that kept spontaneously occuring *g*. Mind you, tonight there was a line that made tears spring instantly to my eyes.
Bravo, dear. It's a wonderful exploration of characters. Ron, Draco and Percy are all drawn so very well. You've kept them within your specific universe, which lends a poignancy to what, in other contexts, may read as PWP. But I don't believe it is, not as it's usually supposed to mean. There's a hell of a lot of character development and exposition in this, which is framed wonderfully by many, many moments of almost surreal humour.
I don't think I've laughed quite so much during a read through before *g*. One very happy reader sitting here.
Right, enough waffling. Will try to send you beta notes before I disappear tomorrow for an overnighter at a friend's place.
*smooch*

Date: 2003-04-12 10:36 am (UTC)Actually, I really want to know more about Torvald, too.
Their first date will probably be disastrous, and Torvals will have to do more of his patented Snape Smoothing ... at least, I imagine them being so volatile together.
*sigh*
But you should be writing and not eading this, so I'll stop now. Go. Mush!
(Please?)
