Calm has settled on the world.
Jun. 17th, 2004 11:32 amSchool is done, I say with an audible sigh of relief.
The world seems so quiet and peaceful.
I did not do as well this quarter as I did in the last two. In addition to taking on way too many credit hours, and doing a bit more fandom than I ought (to escape from it), I fell into some old bad habits, namely: imbalanced effort. Putting a huge amount of effort into one project at the expense of others.
This is very satisfying for me, but gives teachers extra work for the over-kill assignment, and extra work for the assignment turned in late. I could never function this way in the business world.
So my grades for two of my classes aren't as good as they should be. I think I can afford a bad semester, though I'm certain to be knocked off the Dean's list. But I have to remember to treat school like I would a job and hit all those deadlines, regardless of the "perfection" of what I want to do.
- Mail back my Waldorf school records.
- Contact the Waldorf college chair.
- Attend Transfer day at uni this evening (look up location on website).
- Do three chapters a day of the Math review for the next four days.
wildernessguru to oversee four quizes.
- Take math test on Monday.
- Register for summer class, hopefully Logic or Econ, if I do well on math test.
For Friends:
- Send SNM website info to Mia. Offer to beta.
- Make website announcement for
vichka.
- Make Sudden Light announcement
Writing:
- Complete Keego Harbor (shelved for the last few weeks of school) & send out
- Write new SNM piece, Physics of Darkness
- Write story for Mia
- Send Today's Agenda to Blue Food
- Write SNAFU and send it and Stand in the Ruins to be beta'd.
- Work on (tinker with) Snape Manor
Fandom:
- Post Council of Obvious Edicts
- Send out R-rated version of Reunion
- Post various drabbles
Work:
- Contact temp agencies

Date: 2004-06-18 03:29 am (UTC)Last semester I had to leave a fandom to get my grades back up. And it worked ^^ Before, I had all D's in my classes... by the end, I got them up to A's and B's. Although, one class I had a C, but I didn't deserve that at all (I sucked up to the teacher).
Take your time with the fandoms; it's sometimes wise to take a break when its needed.
As for all the things you hope to accomplish... I hope you do well in all of them ^^ Just remember to take your time and not overwork yourself ^^
As a footnote, thanks for adding me to your friends list ^^ Hopefully I'll be able to comment more on your LJ now that I have time, myself ^^
