Calm has settled on the world.
Jun. 17th, 2004 11:32 amSchool is done, I say with an audible sigh of relief.
The world seems so quiet and peaceful.
I did not do as well this quarter as I did in the last two. In addition to taking on way too many credit hours, and doing a bit more fandom than I ought (to escape from it), I fell into some old bad habits, namely: imbalanced effort. Putting a huge amount of effort into one project at the expense of others.
This is very satisfying for me, but gives teachers extra work for the over-kill assignment, and extra work for the assignment turned in late. I could never function this way in the business world.
So my grades for two of my classes aren't as good as they should be. I think I can afford a bad semester, though I'm certain to be knocked off the Dean's list. But I have to remember to treat school like I would a job and hit all those deadlines, regardless of the "perfection" of what I want to do.
( Things to do now. )
