Rep. Doug Bereuter, Republican, served in the House of Representatives for 26 years. He also served on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

The facts they were given made a convincing cause for concern that Iraq could very well provide WMDs to terrorists. Now he believes these facts were distorted. I can see why everyone voted for military action.
He also feels the "post-war" has been bungled. His criticisms are specific and clear. For example, the State Department - not the Department of Defence - should have handled the reconstruction of Iraq, and the Iraqi Army should not have been disbanded.
He is a conservative voice, and you may not agree with some of his opinions (since I've an overwhelmingly liberal friendslist). But he is refusing to ignore the fact for the sake of partisan politics, and I respect him for it.
