Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] cheshyre for bringing to our attention the finest Percy essay of all time.

This is an essay worthy of Percy I. Weasley himself. Painstakingly researched, lovingly assembled, and if you're not at least interested in Percyness by the end... well, then there's no hope for you. Go back to Snape's office.

On Percy.

Hey folks, it ain't over till the fat lady sings.

*nods*

ETA: Ohio is not called yet, for very good reason. The polls that had to remain open late were in the heavily Democratic north. That's where the flood of people were who stood in line for 9 hours to vote. Those are the votes that haven't been counted.

It's similar to Pennsylvania, which leaned Bush as the lower population outer counties were counted, but swung back to Kerry once Philadelphia was counted.

Okay, four more years to hunt for our next candidate.

Bizarre moment. As I watched TV, it shifted from Kerry's concession to a fake-concern close-up of Oprah asking the dark-haired girl from Friends (who I guess is pregnant) -

"So, are you having any moooood swings?" Oprah asked, her eyes as hard flint, as usual.

Friends-girl giggled coquettishly (which doesn't suit her at all).

I made a guppy-face at the set and thought, "Wow, I couldn't care less."

The banal shall go on.

ETA: I was so pleased to see that as compensation, someone wrote PW/RW slash on [livejournal.com profile] weasleyworship. "Yeah, Percy/Ron, that's just what the doctor ordered." Popped it open, only to discover I'd misread -- it was Peter/Ron. *squick*

Yep. That kinda morning.
