Title: Out Of Bounds: Here Is The Sky

Summary: In high school, Radek Zelenka never imagined going outside the Soviet Union.
Author Notes: An earlier section I've added to Out Of Bounds, the skating AU. I recommend downloading the Czech Rock before reading this piece. By the way, I've deliberately used a non-Olympic year (1986) throughout Out Of Bounds for Rodney's Olympic past. I don't want to have to deal with the actual events and athletes of the 1988 Olympics, not to mention I'm not comfortable displacing Polish figure skater Grzegorz Filipowski for fifth at his Olympics. It's a matter of respect for these athletes.

The vote was marginally in favor of larger pieces, which surprised me. I figured everyone would want more, more, more, now, now.

I've posted it in small pieces in the past to keep myself motivated and moving forward on the story. A chunk posted makes me feel like I'm making progress.

Let's face it. Completed stories are for the readers. WIPs are a special torment that could only have been invented for the benefit of the writer -- something we tolerate understand in fandom because we're all writers here. (And also we get free porn. *g*)

Now, there's music for most sections, so I can't post in one large piece because the songs'll get mixed together. So based on my outline, the next six scenes would be posted in... four parts. *eyeroll* *snorts* Oh, that makes a huge difference.

On top of everything, John just threw me another curveball. (This man is frustrating. How does he have a sex life at all--oh. Right. He doesn't.) I'm worried if I wait for that next major crux, nothing'll happen.

So. Since I'm stuck anyway right now, I'm kicking these out the door as they come. Then once the story is moving again, I'll stop posting and write.

How's that? We'll just put the story first.

We'll start with that little Radek backstory tidbit while I finish downloading 200 megs of porn have to wait for my connection to clear to upload the music for the next part.

Maybe the Barbara Streisand killed John's sex drive? In which case it's understandable.
