A/N: Thank you to perfica for playing OOB beta badminton with me. I know. This piece is too short and only serves to whet the appetite. I'm kicking this out the door before it's quite ready, just because I've been feeling crummy since Sunday. And, yes, monanotlisa, this is for you. You know why. ;)

Previously in Out Of Bounds: Known more for his jumps than his artistry, figure skater John Sheppard hired ex-skating champion and 'artiste' Rodney McKay to be his coach. After John's injures himself at the America Cup (and after), Rodney decides he'd better keep a closer eye on him. Like all of Rodney's students, John is tasked to pick out his own program music. This is harder than it seems.

wildernessguru and another guy were sent to do fire watch for a couple of the welders today.

One of the welders said, "Actually, we only need one of you."

The other guy, spotting an afternoon off, said, "I'm outta here."

wildernessguru, spotting an afternoon's pay, said, "I'll take it!"

The other welder walked up and said, "Oh, good. We get the pretty one."
