Junior has a scratch on his nose.

Now, he's hurt Taffy in the past. She has a notched ear because of him.
So when she was napping on my lap and he poked a hopeful nose in my direction, (a questing, "Can I get some lap time, too?") -- her over-reaction was understandable. She squalled and yowled like he'd attacked her.
Her burly brother, Rothy, heard and dove to her rescue. Junior ran, and the two got him cornered under the bed, hissing and growling. I finally separated them. A squirming Rothy went to the hall. The little ball of Taffy kitten was taken upstairs to my aunt, where she'd feel safe. Then Junior was found "not guilty" and freed on his own reconnaissance.
