Step one of site reinstatement

Step one of Icarus Slash Fiction site repair is complete:

I've got the old files. Now need to create the txt files....

But before that ... sleep.

I'm doing this alphabetically, so four stories are back up at Icarus Slash Fiction:

- Another Outtake

Urg. Looks like I'll have to fix the counters on all of them.

Now roughly 64 to go. Turns out I also took down a couple of main site pages too....

Once I get the old works up (and thereby fix all those broken links on rec sites) I'll need to create files for my newer works:

ETA: The one thing I don't have is the fanart. It was all on the computer WG stole. Eventually I'll see if I can contact the artists. Will need to get permission to upload the art for Dragonlord as well.

ETA the II: Hand coded HTML. I had way too much time on on my hands at Uni.

How hungry are those deer?

I put the bird feeder out of deer reach (though they can still get the other one so I'm leaving it empty). My aunt came home from the hospital night shift to find two deer nibbling away at it. That's one more than I knew of.

I figured it would be a hungry winter for the deer because it seems they had an extra mating season in our warm autumn. To replace the lost bird seed -- and to draw them away from my front yard garden, yeep -- I tossed some apples in the woods.

Checked this afternoon to see if they (or other critters) had found them.

Oh, heck yeah. All apples gone. Them's some hungry deer.

It'll be a bit before I can put out some feed corn. I figure a full deer in the woods is a deer that doesn't want the bother of walking alllll the way round to my garden and a bird feeder she can't reach.
