Update on wildernessguru's buddy:

They're friends again.

wildernessguru didn't give up (I'm beginning to see why he's had the same friends for decades...).

It turned out that his buddy had made an odd comment about sending WG's deposit back. Thing is, WG didn't have a deposit on anything. There was a deposit on something for me, but as a friend WG is allowed to try out whatever without one. Sure enough, his buddy was blowing through piles of emails and didn't realise realise it was WG.

Which sort of makes me feel sorry for his regular customers....

His buddy called it "road rage," and they're gonna get together later in the week.

He's very relieved (and exhausted). I'm really impressed with WG. I would have launched his buddy from a cannon.

That's good to hear and I'm glad he didn't lose a friend because of such a misunderstanding. To be honest, though, I'm with you. I would have launched him from a cannon as well.

Oh I'm glad the misunderstanding was sorted out. Losing friends is a very sad thing, regardless of the reasons.

I suppose that's why he and I have been together so many years. There are times I would have launched me from a canon too, if I were in his shoes. Guess his buddy and I are both lucky. :D

All that trauma from a moment's carelessness! Boy, WG should kick him round the block, or whatever buddies do to indicate deep ire, however pleased he is to find it was an error. I bet it never occurred to WG anyone would be so dim with a paying business.
