Ah, a thread to match my mood: British Insults

There's one comment in there that's just right.

And I've just found the hp_britglish community. I've always given up on proper British-ness when it came to Harry Potter fics, instead smirking over the Britishisms in SG-1 stories. Ha. So there, you get it wrong, too.

I cleaned the fuzz out of my computer keyboard. Which was relaxing.

Are there any HP stories I should be reading?

I have to say, I personally don't like reading obvious Americanisms in HP fics (eg sidewalk for pavement, period for full stop). It messes with my suspension of belief. Saying that, Icarus, you really don't use many *bad* terms.
Generally speaking, I've learned to live with it ;-), apart from 'sidewalk', which makes me chew the keyboard. Urg.

But I don't know if you *should* read them.
Can I just advertise a new thread on FA for lovers of IC Snape. Good Snape is so hard to find. Put me out of my misery and recommend something.
