Those few of you on my list who are into LotR slash know who you are. Those of you who would like some beautiful, gorgeously written pre-slash, slow and deliciously developed at the languid pace of perfect summer's day must read Bill the Pony's Frodo/Sam series. Bill has been updating steadily since early 2002, starting with a very young Sam. Completely canon, they capture the voice and lyricism of Tolkien. Bill remembers well as the class and age differences between Frodo and Sam, and blends these issues with simple comforts and tragedies of Shire life. For all these reasons, and Bill's sultry pacing, Bill-the-Pony's stories are must-reads.
