I'm in the middle of a longer response for e-mail, but I'll just my hand up here as someone who liked it the way it is. It's interesting to see the pair in a more everyday, lived kind of experience, and I like the Ron/Severus interaction. Plus, the interplay between Harry and Severus rings really true, the way that people don't always need to spell everything out with their partner.
