Author alerts are great. Except when they're not.

An author I love has updated her ff.net account. She's brilliant, funny, infuses her characters with wit and charm.

She's spammed me with 30 author alerts.

I feel like Mickey Mouse in Fantasia's The Sorcerer's Apprentice after the brooms have been at it for a while. Glug!

That happens to me all the time. As a result I'm careful not to do it to other people. It's silly anyway, because I won't read all the new stories, where if they released them more slowly I would.
