In other words, it is the basics of teaching. Good lord we were told all this in our week long induction for tutoring. Repeatedly. Then the department told us. Then the questionaires handed out for feedback at the end covered all of this. It is also known as common sense in a lot of circles. I'm sorry but... wow the man is kinda and idiot.
