Aha, now *this* is Rodney's skating style.

Tinkering with Out Of Bounds. The next part is giving me some trouble (experiment doesn't seem to be working). In the process however, I have a You Tube clip that's pretty close to Rodney's showy-playful skating style.

Oh dear me.
The difference between a dancer, an atheletic skater and a performer. The clip being of the latter. I can see why that first Bowman you gave us (er, when he fails the jump) is Rodney-esque now. Just more with the accuracy and the better skating.

Date: 2007-02-07 04:48 pm (UTC)Oh, who can resist? Here's the skater who managed to convert the no-we-don't-dance Japanese to figure skating (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTI7gU8FnuA) in the Nagano Olympics.

Date: 2007-02-08 04:11 am (UTC)Then there's the artistic Ilia Kulik (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-rWLgahSnw) who always does something interesting. (I have a much better version of this particular program at home.)
Then there's the firey, high energy Alexei Yaguden (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AgcGWduIw0).
I've always thought Joubert's James Bond program (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVaBWgOYlwE) is boyish and fun.

Date: 2007-02-08 04:24 am (UTC)Back. Here it is (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkp9OXAVD88). Bear in mind this came out before Brokeback Mountain. I bet some of those guys are cringing now.
P.S. Sex Bomb is Plushenko mocking his long time rival, Alexei Yaguden. Yaguden is sex on ice in person, so the mockery is dead on.
