Yep. Yesterday I was kicking myself from backing away from the rumor. I was given a very clear message from people who work for Six Apart, so it seems like the LJ Abuse team was taken by surprise.
I'd locked anything I could find that could be considered offensive on Friday.
My opinion? The timing is a coincidence. This vigilante group's been contacting LJ since April, and they've been posting about LJ sex offenders for over a year. The vigilante's deny they're responsible for the deletion of literary LJs, but it sounds to me like they just didn't know the net would be thrown that wide. Typical of vigilantes, innocent people get caught in the crossfire.
