Last gasp, fresh start, and a movie!
Jun. 10th, 2007 01:33 pmAnd yesterday I worked on Out Of Bounds.
Just a little editing of the next part, setting up the order of scenes, getting back into it. Do we have the doctor's office first, or John skating and then the doctor's? I learned yesterday that I have have a last gasp chance at my English paper, if I get it in today.
But this felt good. Like stretching after I've been in a very cramped space.
God. It is possible to keep endlessly busy with wanks, isn't it? I mean, they're like waves. First there's one, and then the next, and then the other, and the other.
I don't think that's how I want to spend my fandom time.
WG wants to see a movie. Folks, tell me: which should we see (if I get this paper done, otherwise he's going without me):
- Spiderman 3
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- No, you fool, there's a much better movie I'll tell you about in comments!
Thanks!

Date: 2007-06-10 08:47 pm (UTC)On the other hand (since it's related to your current fic), I've heard many good things about "Blades of Glory" (That ice-skating show with Will Ferrel) heh

Date: 2007-06-10 08:50 pm (UTC)But PotC3 is sort of de rigeur for fannish literacy, and it's fun (if overloaded and somewhat too long).

Date: 2007-06-10 08:54 pm (UTC)PotC 3 is fun. The critics hate it but I don't really see why. It's mindless good time.
Besides that Knocked Up, or whatever the sequel to 40 Year Old Virgin is called is supposed to be good but I think the premise and the portrayal of the girl is retarded and sexist. (Why doesn't she just get an abortion. Why doesn't she even think about it?) Oh well.

Date: 2007-06-10 09:09 pm (UTC)However, I have seen PotC3, and really enjoyed it. Much better than the second, though still not as good as the first in that it's not a stand-alone movie. Go see it! You will laugh.

Date: 2007-06-11 01:23 am (UTC)Spiderman 3 was okay but too long and dragged at parts
Pirates 3 was better than 2 but not as good as 1
Shrek 3 was good, but not as good as the first 2
He recommends "Mr Brooks" if you like "Silence of the Lambs" types of movies.
