Uh. wildernessguru and I have forgotten which toothbrush is whose.

I was using the red-handled one, but then one night we went to bed at the same time (unusual) and he reached for that one. Oh. Turned out he was using that one for a while.

Fine, fine, we could switch. But then I brushed my teeth before him one night and he went into the bathroom, found the toothbrush he'd been using damp and said,

"Honey. Which toothbrush are you using?"

Honestly, I thought it was the blue one, but I may have accidentally switched back to the red one and--

--this would be a lot more disgusting if we were roommates.

Why don't you just throw these ones out and start using new ones?

I always make sure that my toothbrush is on the red/pink end of the spectrum and hubby's is on the blue/green end.

This is why for years I insisted on always having a green toothbrush. It's automatic - the green one is always *MINE.* However, there was a time when I couldn't find green, and the result was somewhat near to chaos. All back to the proper color scheme now :)

the thing i find disgusting is DH's beard hairs still in *my* razor. I mean, I guess I don't mind using the same one, but clean the damn thing before putting it back, wouldjya!!?

That reminds me of a manga I read a while ago. Boy A has an obsession with anything that boy B (one of his hallmates) has touched, handled, put in his mouth, etc; he snatches boy B's chopsticks, pencils, etc. all through the manga. About a third of the way through, boy B says, "Where's my toothbrush?"

This plan works better when I buy the toothbrushes. The thing is, I don't think I ever have, and I just know that this is the sort of thing I can't expect him to remember. You see, he can remember detailed information on pack specifications, and quote back how many F-16 the Isreali Air Force has, and exactly what ships (size, displacement, type, age, what country they were purchased from) Iran has, and the current estimated budget for China's military -- and yet he still asks me every year, "What date is Halloween again?"
