I think they must have done a survey -- what's your number one complaint about tampons? And 99% of the women complained about leakage.
So the bozos decided, "Let's make them wider so they'll leak less" not realizing that the leakage comes from something they can't control: the woman needing to step out of the middle of that 3 hour meeting to change it.
