John's beater from Out Of Bounds. Joe Flanigan posed mostly nude?
WG and I have come to a truce on John's car in Out Of Bounds.
I thought I found John's car from Out Of Bounds.
The 1978 Chevy Caprice, which he bought in 1989, just after he graduated high school:
wildernessguru says, "No way does John drive that. No guy would drive that land yacht."
"Okay," I asked him, "So what does he drive?"
He suggested a Dodge Dart. I told him that John's car has to have a back seat, and the Dart's back seat is way too small. I pointed out that John has had this car forever. It spends most of the story in various states of disrepair. (Mostly the heat's broken. In Canada.) He said, "Whatever, no way would John drive that."
Sigh. It's not like John can afford a muscle car or anything sporty. I kept hunting.
After an evening spent cruising cars in the Lemon-ade Guide, I showed
wildernessguru the following. WG's cool with the 1980 Chevy Caprice Classic although John's obviously wouldn't be black (his is burgundy) or in mint condition like this one:

"More of a beater," he said, but he agreed with this choice.
I said, "You mean like this?"

"Yeah," he said.
We'll not tell him that's another photo of the original car, or that the only difference between the first and second car was the model year. *snickers*
Did you know about Joe Flanigan posing mostly nude for About Face? This is the first I'd heard of the project.
He looks both vulnerable, uncomfortable, and intense. Off-balance. It's a very interesting photo for more reasons than the obvious.

Huh. I found this in google last night while looking for photos of younger Joe for my descriptions in Out Of Bounds. The fandom hive mind is an amazing thing. Turns out

Mostly, yes. I do not, for the life of me, know why one would add Taylor Kitsch of Friday Night Lights fame to the list, as I don't think he's either good-looking or interesting and complex in any way--Ian Somerhalder may have far less depth than Joe, but boy, the surface sure is purdy & ;-). But yeah: That's just what I think.
In general, though, I agree.

Well, there ARE a couple thousand of us. Who scout the net for Joe. & ;-)
