Did a really crappy job on my presentation (head in hands) but at least it's over. Behind, behind, behind at school. I've recovered, more or less, in my Chinese History class. Almost recovered in the English class.
This is making me very happy. I have it playing aloud and Monte kitty enjoys it. He looked toward the computer with big eyes, and now he's curled up, fur fluffed, body relaxed, his ears perked in this direction. Hee.
Cold day. WG and the boys froze at work yesterday and this morning, well, WG stole all the covers last night. Somewhere around midnight I gave up on stealing them back. So I woke up shivering at 4am when his alarm went off. As he got up he said, "You're freezing" and tucked the blankets around me.
The apartment was still cold when started my Chinese History readings an hour later. I curled up in a pile of blankets. A half hour in, I noticed Fuzzhead had quietly joined me, looking a little chilled himself (furnotwisthstanding notwithstanding - typo deleted, though I'm amused at the lisp). He gratefully accepted a corner of a blanket tucked around him.
Other happy-making things:
The Breeding Ground podfic is up!
Not all podfic is created equal. I've tried to do my own, and that's how I learned that there is an essential prerequisite: Talent.
Fortunately,
celtic_tigress has talent in spades. I've been following her podfic of
smittywing's The Best Things In Life Are Free and now I get podfic of my very own! With someone talented! Who varies the voices and tells it like a professional storyteller and everything.
