Two great SGA stories:

I've lost my MIND. SGA fic: Baby!Rodney by ladyflowdi, John, Rodney, so PG, so cute.

Watch this turn into a mega-fic. Rodney is de-aged, and wait, although it's adorable, it's not saccharine. ladyflowdi finds the idea of baby Rodney very, very scary. I particularly love little Rodney's repeated insistance that he's important because "I know numbers!"

Mr Woolsey's Guide to Etiquette in the Pegasus Galaxy by busaikko, John/Woolsey, R

This is a fascinating slow-build look at an unpredictable pairing. Woolsey's dignified, cautious voice is what makes this story work. And the pairing does work. I can see now how unobtrusive and undemanding Woolsey would be for John, a bit of understated calm and elegance in the turmoil of John's life. But the best part is how Woolsey neither understands John, nor does he invade John's bubble of privacy. He simply allows himself to be whatever is needed. And that, in itself, is what John needs. I know, I know, you only want to read John/Rodney. Just trust me. Oh, and be sure to download at least the first song on soundtrack (the theme from Master & Commander).

*g* I'm always up for an odd pairing. And, though their ages aren't quite 'that' far apart, I love a May-December romance.

I had the very real pleasure of beta-ing busaikko's fic and I'm a pretty diehard John/Rodney girl, yet it really, really resonated, from the form to the voice. I love that I'm seeing it recced around.
