I've gone through it all, and I'm still shocked at the idiocy of the people who did that. And the ones that find it amusing... I can't even find words other than to say that it isn't funny in any way, shape or form. I feel awful for the brothers.

I'm still trying to figure out what could posess someone to do something like this. I enjoy fandom and want to keep it, not see it buried under a pile of C&D letters.

My fandom mantra? Reality/Fantasy; learn the difference, people!

Unfortunately, no such luck. This was twice stupid and unforgivable.

First, it exposed the Phelps twins to something they didn't need to know and most likely never wanted to. It was a shameless and shameful invasion of their privacy.

Second, it was a thoughtless action that puts the fandom as a whole at a risk. Maybe not even a big one, but still a risk, and for what? So some little asshat could have a giggle. *bangs head on something hard*

Actually, my understanding was incorrect. It was a photo of the two boys holding a sign that said 'Twins Against Twincest'. Not as bad as I thought by a long shot. It still put the boys on the spot when the girl explained what Twincest was to ask them to hold the sign. Really not fair to them. What are they going to say to a fan, no?

So from what I understand this fan (who clearly has her own anti whatever agenda) asked the twins to hold the signs for her picture and then she explained to them what the signs were for/about. Hence the reaction shot.

Unfreaking believable. The stupidity of some people just astounds me. You know she could have just asked them to make strange faces and photoshopped in a couple of signs. No need to give them nightmares about the sorts of things some fans are thinking about them. Bah!
