The county fair.

just got home from the county fair.

They had a barn with 400 bunnies. I tried to say ommanipadmehum to every single one of them (may have missed a row).

One of the bunny guys there said that they liked me. That I was his favorite type of visitor: I talked to them, instead of poking at them. I wonder if mantras count as talking? But after he mentioned it ... yeah, they did relax when they heard a soft voice. It made saying the mantras more fun, to see the bunnies happy.

Also went on the ferris wheel -- forgot I was scared of heights until I was going UP. What? Ferris wheels look so cool! It was a spectacular view of the glittering fair at night, the moon coming out. I shared the gondola with a guy and his daughter. He handed me his camera to take pictures of him with his little girl.

The dog show was relaxed and amusing.

Happy and tired, and refreshed, ready to plug away at fic.

Sad thing when I got home: a friend of mine got chased off of Twitter. She'd deleted her account last night. Turns out it's staying deleted. Too much wank from a couple of nasty wankers. *sigh*

A kitty is currently perched on my back, purring and kneading. Sweet, yet awkward.

I was quite upset when the state fair had not gotten the bunnies in yet when I went last weekend.

I didn't even know they were there until a coworker told me about them today. I thought he was silly -- bunnies. What's so great about bunnies? But they have soft gentle eyes and hop around, or curl up in balls of fuzz, sleeping.

I am... inexplicably weirded out by this song. I think it's the sudden uncomfortable shifts in key.

Ah, I mostly found it funny apropos the bunnies. But the singers aren't pro musicians, it probably causes some of the weirdness?

The fact that I've never seen Buffy (okay, half an ep) probably is the real reason. I've no idea what's going on.

I've never actually watched Buffy either, they just play the cd with this song on at work (a lot)
