Introducing: kitty world.
Mar. 22nd, 2011 12:21 pmFour cats live here (they're not mine, they're my aunt's).
Rothy's a gangly goofball, tortoiseshell calico, the sort who "oversprawls" and accidentally rolls off the couch. I think if he were a human he'd be one of those carelessly noble Brit public school boys.
Taffy is the ultimate lap cat. She's tiny, orange, and round, sweet and soft. She softly approaches on dainty feet (she has pretty paws) and looks up with round-round eyes -- then hops up, cuddles into a little purring ball, and then ... melts.
Cally is a gray wild thing. A tiny, muscular powerhouse, she was treated roughly as a kitten by a small child who didn't know any better, so she's reactive, quick with claws--and teeth. But she's gentling. If you approach slowly and let her decide before you touch her, she'll respond, and she loves to cuddle, has a purr like a lawn mower.
Finally, there's Junior, who was rescued from a woodpile as a kitten. He has long legs like an Imperial Walker, thin, and unusually smart. When we were throwing away some expired baby food (he loooves turkey baby food) he knew exactly what was happening -- and mewed, very upset about it. He's also a top cat, bullies Taffy -- :( -- but can be really open and sweet with people.
...annnd Rothy just stole some food off my plate. Hey!
