This is probably going to come back and bite me in the ass, but I'll have to admit that I like the current incarnation of hpbnfdm_lives.

*splat!* *splat!* *splat!*

Now, now, hold your tomatoes!
Let me explain.

I hate competition in general. Different writers have different strong points and weaknesses and any determination of one decent writer being better than another is a matter of sheer arbitrary taste. I love humour/fluff, switchknife loves angst -- we get along great.

But now hpbnfdm_lives has a link to the writer/artist/whomever's work. And that is a very good thing indeed. Remember what I said about marketing?

Looking for new writers? Check them out. I'm guessing that most of these people are called BNFs because they pumped out some pretty good work.

For the most part, I agree; it's a list of people I know and love, people I know and am weirded out by, people I know and have been meaning to get to, and people I don't know at all, and it's good to have the explanations of why the people are so fabulous. To defend the people who don't like it, I must say I that I probably got on it as some sort of a fluke. *cough* *gloats* *cough*

Who me? So far the war over there isn't dreadful that I've seen, and the description of each BNF 'player' is pretty cool.
