I'm floored Mitt Romney picked Paul Ryan as his running mate.

Either Romney has abandoned the plan to court the middle class, or he thinks we're stupid, and hopes we'll just listen to the ads (and FOX).

Has Romney heard of the internet?

I mean, I knew Romney had a "to hell with the poor" plan, but that's not the same as courting the not-impoverished.

Yep, he did. Of course, the plan seems to have always been "tell the middle class you care about them (but not the very poor)."

The favorite child plan. As in you tell your neglected middle child, "Shh. Don't tell, but you're my favorite!" but continue to ignore him in favor of the demanding little sister and the problematic eldest. Still, he gets to feel Special.

A lot of my political stuff has migrated to Facebook, just because it's so easy to post it there. (But I hate Facebook and it's utter disregard for privacy.)

Heh. Me too! I have actually started pulling away hard from FB because I hate it and it started negatively impacting my joy. FB went and undid all of my "no likes and comments" settings and I saw a lot of really hurtful stuff posted about the chicken store and had to take a break.

But it's way easier to post stuff there, and I had been using it as my major political platform. Most everyone here on DW agrees with me.
