Finally updated my website, (finally).

Here you go. Those of you who missed the challenges I wrote this past September, there are eight new pairings and twelve new fics/short/drabbles on my website.
I'll take a page out of
switchknife's book here, and just post reviews as description. There's something faintly... egotistical... about that, but I've been told that my summaries all make my stories sound like light-weight sex romps.
Zen Taxi, Percy/Draco, NC-17
Review: I loved this--the slightly surreal atmosphere, the sensory details, the slow, steady rhythm of it. I think you've really caught the essence of Percy, with his prissiness and insistent, misplaced nobility, and I adored how he contrasted with dangerous and all too knowing Draco. This isn't a pairing I would go for ordinarily, but you've really made it work in a way I wouldn't have imagined, and the language and structure is almost hypnotic. This is really, really lovely work.
A '57 Vincent And A Red-Headed Boy, Ron/Sirius, R
Review: Lovely. Your Ron is so... perfect, as always, and I love the idea of him going out with Sirius and things happening, but not really. I had no difficulty at all in believing this scenario as something that might have even happened in canon, which just shows how well you've handled it.
Rare Scottish Snow, Severus/Harry, PG
Review: *beams* That was amazing, Icarus, really amazing. Love Severus' snarkiness, love being back in the Primer universe (it is the Primer universe, no?), love Harry's cheek. I just knew he was going to do something good when he asked how expensive Sev's book was....
Six Week Charade, Ron/Draco (Beg Me For It universe), PG-13
Review: Oh wow. . . I loved this. You've wove such a unique relationship between Ron and Draco. You have nothing to be anxious about. I always wish for more when I reached the end of anything you write about these two. I love this universe. The idea of Draco in charge is scary, I feel for poor Eunice.
Primer to the Dark Arts: Morning Breath, deleted scene, NC-17 version. Harry/Snape
Review: with a shiver Harry welcomed him, easily. His legs scissored over Severus' back, casual, relaxed…
Oh, I can just see how comfortable they are in loving each other...that's the most convincing, sweet little image! Wow!
More Than One Way To Win, Tom/Harry, R-ish.
Review: Well that certainly screwed with my mind. The reality switching was something I didn't expect, and it totally made the drabble. The fact that it was really concise and didn't try to go over the top with details gave it really nice pacing. I'm usually one for being long-winded in drabbles, so it's nice for me to read something so well organized and.. well, to use a phrase used occasionally to describe tasty guitar solos - you breathed wonderfully in that last number.
Weasleys Come in Twos and Threes, Fred/Harry/George, PG-13
Review: I loved how Harry isn't quite comfortable around Fred and George yet, just like he isn't quite comfortable with abandoning Muggle cleaning for wizard-style. Poor baby, they must tease him constantly, but I bet he could give as good as he gets if he felt like it. Those twins are such little snots. =) Favorite part: how Fred and George are wearing opposite halves of one complete outfit, while Harry steals the dressing gown.
Deep Throat, Percy/Severus, PG-13
Review: I... wow. Jesus. Certainly not a pairing I'd usually try, but I thought I'd take a look... wow. Er, okay, shall snap myself out of the stupor now. Very interesting. Just, I don't have a lot of words to describe it. This wasn't so much about the characterisation as the plot, and your description, and the directness of Percy's last words. Well done. I think the fact that it's called Deep Throat adds a certain something to it, too ;)
It Was All Right, Harry/Ron, PG-13
Review: It's really beautiful - you have a way with words, you know. I like the way you incorporated the "Weasley is our King" song - sweet, funny, and a very effective way of placing this in relation to canon. I really like this. I can practically hear Ron's thoughts. It's just... Ron. You've portrayed it brilliantly. And the ending - the ending is exactly right. I especially love how the relationship is definitely there, but undefined, vague - it works. And I can accept it completely.
Safeword, Percy/Severus, R
Review: The yum is in the details -- Percy's wanting to pick up the cup (and Severus' knowing that) and the descriptions of the strokes.
Rat For Dessert, Peter/Severus, R
Review: Ohhh, very disturbing ficlet here. I found it very, very powerful. Poor Peter. I always have a soft spot for a good Peter fic, and this one is excellent.
Christmas Fluff, Percy/Harry, PG
Review: Ooh, that's just as fluffy as I could possibly have hoped for. I still have the big ol' smile on my face that first showed up at the flying scissors line (and accompanying mental image) and kept growing throughout. I laughed like a fool at the ending. Oh, poor poor Harry. I was not expecting that, but I think it's a perfect fit for the overall fluffy mood of the ficlet.
In November, Neville/Ron, PG-13
Review: So sweet. Beautiful description. Very few writers can make me get over my aversion to Ron Weasely, and you've managed to do it. No angst, no fanfare. Very real.
A Little Night Music, Hermion/Rita, R
Review: I think this is even more essentially Rita/Hermione: Rita exerts the same underhanded influence on Hermione with her music that she does to the Wizarding world in general, with her articles, and Hermione responds before she even knows what she's doing. You've described Hermione's bedroom and her daily life as beautifully as anything else you've written, and as has been said, this is funny and creepy all at once. Huge thanks for writing it and writing it so well!

reviews the reviews
Date: 2004-01-11 06:04 am (UTC)Plus, the one for 'safewords' is too vague and not every compelling. Maybe 'Christmas Fluff' as well. I also would trim lines from one or two of them as they give away plot points and you're trying to entice people, yes?
*grins*

That sort of thing.

Re: reviews the reviews
Date: 2004-01-11 12:07 pm (UTC)I was lazy about the names, true. I did cut a lot of the spoilers. As for Safeword and Christmas Fluff, in my opinion they both deserve the rather lukewarm reviews.
I don't think I'm going to use this technique anymore. It's good for people who've only written a couple of stories but for me, I mean, if someone's friended me, they probably know at least one of my stories.
I've written so many different pairings there's something for everyone (except H/D, but that's because I feel that that relationship's been mined thoroughly - I don't have any ideas that haven't been done already). There are drabbles, there're epics, you've got Gen, Humour, there's Darkfic, there's Magic-centric, there are weird pairings, incest, student/teacher, student/student, OMCs, femmeslash (sort of), even a little chanslash.
Hmm. I have a new idea.
