Ron/Draco: Okay, Draco's manipulation is starting to make some headway. 35 pages...

I realise I've been posting stories and chapters without announcing them here. Ooops.

Well, numerous chapters of Primer <a href="http://www.schnoogle.com/authorLinks/Icarus>Primer to the Dark Arts on FA have gone up, most recently Chapter 20: Eureka and Chapter 21: Fools' Victory. But I don't think I've announced anything here since Midnight (chapter 14). Ooops.

So, here:
The links on my website are up to date.

I'm holding off on 'Wall-Papering' the recent chapters of Primer, or posting the Beta'd chapter 24 'Pure Blood' for once we all leap for the escapism. It's a waste of time right now.

The final for 'Beg Me for It' is up on www.restrictedsection.org. Brodie, I got your suggestions, but too late.

Works in the works, reminders...

Beta projects
1) Beta Harry/Snape story
2) Copy the other Harry/Snape story and beta that
3) Send Isis 'Scarred' and 'Reunion' - Ron/Draco

Stories written that need to be typed:
1) Cursed Artifacts for Sale - Harry/Snape
2) Second chapter to 'Reunion'? Draco has a meeting with a family friend.
3) Rushlight's stories... Ron's Confession, The Dinner Party - Harry/Draco/Snape & Ron
4) Terry Boot's life going downhill, slowly. - Snape/OCC, pre-Snape
5) Snape and Torvald's first date - Snape/OMC
6) Begin work on 'Snape Manor.' - Harry/Snape
7) Ron Weasley's 'First Signs of Magic' - Ron Weasley
8) Dean Thomas' 'First Signs of Magic' - Dean, OMC

Long-term projects:

1) Snape Manor. Torvald is going to play a big role I think. Yes. I know he's dead.

Things I've promised myself to read:

1) Stag Night by CLS. I always read my Betas' works.
2) Society of Orpheus and Bacchus. I always read my Betas' works, and I couldn't bring myself to read 'Postal' (I do hate self-inserts, even when very well done.)

Oh. Then there's real life. Plllbt.

For a giggle, check this out: Summary Horror!

Yeah, Axelle did the beta on 'First Signs of Magic: Hermione Granger' and 'First Signs of Magic: Draco Malfoy.' Did an amazing job. Now she's done the Final Beta of 'A Moment of Sin.'

You won't believe this, McTabby. She actually guessed who Snape was meeting.

Unbelievable. No one ever has.

Review, if you like.

Read Fools Victory and Eureka!
First, whine:
After the last part, when Harry is told to be discreet, I thought there would b a transition showing that, but we jump immediately into Eureka, with a jealous (?) snape and a wary Harry. Transitions are nice! Transitions are our friends!
Okay, now the accolades:
Very interesting that you show Harry mastering the lesson by having Snape play on his sexuality- very funny and yet quite apt to Harry, who learns by doing.
On the Snape POV- so, he thinks the *only* reason Harry would be with him is because Snape is similiarly inclined, and not because Harry may feel anything for him. And of course, it seems thatSnape feels for Harry, in his own way, and does not want to admit it- to Harry nor to himself.
(Very Guy-ish, BTW)
Very soppy, Fools Victory- Snape so very happy with a accomplishment, and he takes Harry shopping with him, and gets drunk. snape all but declares his feelings for Harry- and Harry being sweetly obtuse, does not get it.
The ending left me on tenterhooks- so, does Snape think that Harry was telling him not to see him anymore? Or angry that Harry would do the lessons, since he does have the ability?
um, that's it, I guess. Off to do hair.

I always thought that was a little abrupt. But, I couldn't think of anything I wanted to write there so I said: 'fuck it.' Lazy of me, I know. I thought I got away with it, too.

I actually got a complaint about King of Discretion that it didn't have enough action, didn't drive the plot forward. So I told this person about the importance of transitions, how many episodic works don't work when you read them beginning to end because of the lack of transitions, guess what, there are and will be transitions to come, blah, blah. LOL. Now I'm having a laugh at my own expense.

You could call it a 'natural' aptitude.

On the Snape POV- so, he thinks the *only* reason Harry would be with him is because Snape is similiarly inclined, and not because Harry may feel anything for him.

Uhm-hm. Surely Harry would be more interested in someone younger if he were available....

And of course, it seems that Snape feels for Harry, in his own way, and does not want to admit it- to Harry nor to himself.

He doesn't even see it!

Hoo-rah! I set out to write men, acting like men, and have succeeded!

Harry being sweetly obtuse, does not get it.

Nope. Too caught up in the middle of dealing with it.

The ending left me on tenterhooks- so, does Snape think that Harry was telling him not to see him anymore? Or angry that Harry would do the lessons, since he does have the ability?

Snape's pissed because he's certain telling Dumbledore about the accident will sink his hopes of starting a Dark Arts class. That's why he hid the accident in the first place. He feels that rejecting his class is tantamount to rejecting him. If Harry doesn't give a damn about what he's doing to his future, then he doesn't give a damn about Snape.

Right! Okay, I now get it.
