I have to second Dark Side of Light, because it's different, and it's so much darker. I love UL, of course, and think it's completely amazing, but many of the best H/D fics have a lot of similarities, and UL is no exception. Sometimes I really want a little variety, and, well, UL doesn't fulfil that. :)

I liked Shadow and Flame, too (especially considering how convincing it was, with the Ron/Pansy pairing), but it was too short for me to really get into it, and the all-dialogue aspect of Dark Side of Light can be (and was, in this case!) really intriguing if it's done well. Just stylistically, Dark Side of Light had a lot more to offer than some of the other fics, I think.

Draco Malfoy and the Amazing Bouncing...Rat? really wasn't one of my favorite, somehow. I never really knew why, I just never enjoyed it or thought it was as funny as much of the fandom seemed to. *shrug*

Dark Side of Light -- very dark and disturbing and one of the most memorable things I've read. I was horrified at the ending, but I also related to Harry so strongly at the same time.

I know it's been polite over there, I've cast my vote in the last several rounds - oh, and wikdsushi and amanuensis1 are up this round. Talk about sadistic choices. I'd say UL, but it's unfinished. DMtAB...R? is the first fic to ever make me laugh until my stomach hurt. Your Every Wish is one of the first fics to make me feel like someone took a crowbar to my stomach (a good thing!). Her Zacharias/Draco trilogy with its extremely angry/hilarious Harry kills me every time I re-read.

But. Dark Side of Light gets my vote. The imagery. The fact that it's all dialogue. The bit with Hermione and Harry at the end. Gah. Just wonderful.

Can anyone tell I'm a Maya fan? Oh yes. Such a Maya fan.
